Upcoming activities

The activities for the period from October to December 2025 are structured around 5 pillars:

1. The Online Training on the Financing Dimensions of Food Security (22 October-27 November 2025)

This activity explores how innovative, inclusive, and development-oriented financing strategies can strengthen food security in developing countries. With the technical support of the South Centre, the sessions will address the four pillars of food security through the lens of public development finance and South-South cooperation.

Designed for officials from development banks, financial institutions, and policymaking bodies, the programme aims to build capacity, share good practices, and foster collaboration on scalable, finance-driven interventions to support sustainable agrifood systems.

2. The 5th Exchange Programme and 20th Annual General Assembly (Riyadh, 17-20 November 2025), followed by the Saudi EXIM Global Partners Forum (Riyadh, 19-20 November 2025)

The Saudi Export-Import Bank (Saudi EXIM), in collaboration with the G-NEXID Secretariat, will host the
Fifth G-NEXID Exchange Program alongside the 20th Annual General Assembly of G-NEXID in Riyadh, Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia, on 17–18 November 2025.

Since its establishment in 2006 with the endorsement of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development
(UNCTAD), G-NEXID has become a unique platform uniting Export-Import Banks and Development Finance
Institutions to foster South-South trade and investment, promote collaboration, and enhance co-financing
opportunities.

Previous editions, hosted by India Exim Bank (2016), BNDES (2017) Indonesia Eximbank (2018) and
Afreximbank (2019), successfully advanced these objectives.

The Riyadh edition will highlight Saudi EXIM’s expanding mandate in supporting non-oil exports under Saudi Vision
2030, while reinforcing the Kingdom’s growing contribution to global trade partnerships.

Follow-On Event:
Immediately following the Exchange Programme, participants are also invited to attend the Saudi EXIM Global Partners
Forum on 19–20 November 2025 at the Hilton Riyadh Hotel & Residences, gathering international leaders from
governments, ECAs, DFIs, and the private sector to expand partnerships and strengthen global cooperation
