Launch of the publication “G-NEXID: 10 Years of Promoting South-South Trade, Investment and Cooperation”
Nairobi, 15 July 2016 – The Global Network of Export-Import Banks and Development Finance Institutions (G-NEXID) celebrated its 10 years anniversary on 15 July 2016, in Nairobi, with the launch of the publication “G-NEXID: 10 Years of Promoting South-South Trade, Investment and Cooperation” on the sidelines of the 7th Global Commodities Forum of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), an integral component of UNCTAD 14.
This publication comprised articles from the members and partners of the Network on issues of South-South interest and was launched by Mr. Guillermo Valles, Head of Division of International Trade in Goods, Services and Commodities, UNCTAD.
With the contributions of key partners (International Trade Centre and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development) and several members (African Biofuels and Renewable Energy Company, African Export-Import Bank, Brazilian Development Bank, Central African States Development Bank, Development Bank of Latin America, Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank, Export-Import Bank of India, Export-Import Bank of Romania and Nigerian Export-Import Bank), this publication highlighted the growing importance of South-South trade, investment and cooperation in the wider framework of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
